By the age of 5 Daniel began competing at local and regional carnivals setting and reaching goals along the way.
Daniel competed at QLD State aged 12 where he was swimming amongst Olympic and Australian greats. Records at that time were being set by Ian Thorpe.
Daniel also found another sport to keep him busy, starting at Crescent Head beach in the under 6’s nipper in Surf Life Saving. Naturally, ocean swim competitions became a frequent weekend event including Coffs Harbours’ Jetty swim, South West Rocks Trial Bay Gaol Swim and Byron Bay ocean swim.
Daniel relocated to Coffs Harbour in 2003 and continued to enter and compete in swimming events.
After years of working in store management Daniel felt it was time to follow his passion for teaching and helping people to swim.
At their home in Korora NSW, Daniel built an 11m x 4m pool and began teaching after work to families in the area. From here the business grew quickly.
Daniel quickly earned a reputation as a nurturing and encouraging coach to his young swimmers.
Daniel continues to lead by example and still competes today winning gold medals at Masters Swimming and Surf Life Saving State and National championships, as well as long distance and endurance races including the Coolangatta Gold.
